What is a Penny Auction?A type of auction format where you first purchase bids and then place bids to win a particular auction competing with other bidders. Each bid placed raises the price of the product by a set increment and the bidding goes on until the last bid is made and no other bids are placed. In this type of auction the seller makes money on each bid so prices of merchandise on the winning bid is substantially lower than the actual value of the probuct. In many cases the selling price is 10-20% of the product value. The only catch is that all unsuccessful bidders get nothing and the winning bidder gets a great deal. If you learn the concept of how these auctions work and know the dynamics of the particular site you can win these auctions but caution must be exercised in that if not careful you can spend a lot on bids and get nothing. There are so many sites like this now that it is possible to find some really good deals with the proper strategy. |
